How We Grow

During our first several seasons, we’ll focus on building organic matter, enhancing soil tilth, reducing compaction, and improving nutrient cycling.

We take a low-till approach, which for us means relying on a combination of silage tarps and a two-wheel tractor to break down pasture grass and crop residue, a broadfork to aerate the soil, and a tilther to incorporate compost and fertilizer.

We’re proud to use local suppliers like Panorama Paydirt for certified organic compost, Seven Springs Farm Supply for certified organic fertilizers and soil amendments, New Country Organics for certified organic potting mix, and Southern Exposure Seed Exchange for certified organic seed.
